Robert De Niro is leaving open the possibility of leaving the country if Republican presidential nomineeĀ Donald TrumpĀ takes the White House.

ā€œThatā€™s a good question ā€” I donā€™t know,ā€ the actor said this week in Dubai, when asked whether he would remain in the United States if the Trump wins.

{mosads}The 73-year-old Academy Award winner, who last week released a scathing video that quickly went viral decrying Trump and saying heā€™d like to ā€œpunch him in the face,ā€ continued to slam his fellow New Yorker in an interview withĀ The NationalĀ newspaper.

ā€œI donā€™t understand how people could be seduced into thinking this guy has an answer,ā€ De Niro said. ā€œHe has no answer.ā€

Repeating his assertion that heā€™d like to punch Trump, De Niro said, ā€œThis guy does not have a clue about what goes on in the rest of the world no matter what he says.ā€

ā€œItā€™s disgraceful this guy was allowed to get as far he has,ā€ the performer added.

ā€œThis is such an awful situation that I felt compelled to say something about it because people have been letting him get away with it for some reason, and now they are starting to react,ā€ he said.

Several celebrities have said theyā€™d consider packing up and moving out of the country ā€” or planet ā€” if Trump wins, including Miley Cyrus, Samuel L. Jackson and Cher.
