President Donald Trump’s White House abruptly fired several U.S. Attorneys appointed by Joe Biden, issuing termination notices instead of the traditional request for
resignations. Among those dismissed were Tara McGrath of San Diego and Erek Barron of Maryland, who confirmed their departures. Ismail Ramsey of California, and Tessa
Gorman of Seattle also resigned following the notices. While more than two dozen Biden-appointed U.S. Attorneys remained in office as of Wednesday, several had stepped down
by Thursday. The White House and the Department of Justice did not respond to requests for comment.
