Teen complains about shoveling snow, what his elderly neighbor does next changes his mind

A user on Reddit.com shared a heartwarming story that’s just perfect for the holidays. It’s never too late for a random act of kindness. Taz13 writes,

It was snowing really hard one night, and my mom forced me to shovel the driveway, I was a bit pissed off about it, but went out and did it anyways.

While shoveling, I noticed my front neighbor getting out of his apartment to shovel the snow too, the guy was old, maybe 75, had to always take care of his handicapped wife, he was probably shoveling the front pavement so they can go to their doctors appointment as usual.

He starts doing it, and was overwhelmed with the amount of snow and the cold, he was maybe 2/10 done and had to take a break so he went back inside.

I don’t know what came over me, because I wasn’t even done with my 4 times bigger driveway, but I sprinted to the other side, shoveled his driveway like my life depended on it. 5-10 mins pass I run back to my driveway exhausted, and the guy comes back fully equipped with more clothes than before and just stared at the shoveled driveway.

He was confused, he had a look like if he wasn’t sure if he did it or not, like his mind was playing tricks on him. I pretended like nothing happened, and the guy just smiled and told his wife they wont be late and pushed her out into his car…

I keep complaining like a brat when my mom tells me to do a chore, but when someone doesn’t want to complain, hes willing to do it, but his body cant, it just makes all the worlds perspective fall into place, doesn’t it?

I TOOK OUR OLD COUCH TO THE DUMP, BUT MY HUSBAND FREAKED OUT, YELLING, “YOU THREW AWAY THE PLAN?!” I’d been asking my husband, Tom, for monnths to take our battered old couch to the dump. It was practically falling apart, but every time I brought it up, he’d say, “Tomorrow,” or “Next weekend, I promise.” Spoiler: “tomorrow” never came. That Saturday, I’d finally had enough. I rented a truck, loaded that sagging, smelly couch by myself, and hauled it to the dump. I felt proud, even ordered a new couch to be delivered that afternoon. When Tom got home and saw the new couch, he went pale. His first words weren’t thanks, though. He looked at me, panicked. “You took the old couch to the dump?” I nodded, confused. “Yes, Tom. You’ve been saying you’d do it for ages.” He started muttering, then yelled, “You threw away the PLAN?” Without another word, he grabbed his keys. “Just get in the car. We have to get it back before it’s too late.” ⬇️Story continues in the first comment

I RESCUED A MAN IN A STORM 20 YEARS AGO – HE KNOCKED ON MY DOOR YESTERDAY HOLDING A FOLDER IN HIS HANDS It’s been 20 years since that poor aan in tattered clothes left my house, saying, “ONE DAY, I’LL REPAY YOUR KINDNESS.” Back then, I never imagined he actually would—and in such an incredible way! So yesterday, I was just sitting at home when I heard a knock at the door. I opened it and saw a man standing there. “CAN I HELP YOU?” I asked, a little confused. “I THINK YOU ALREADY DID—MANY YEARS AGO,” he said with a warm smiile. “JAMES?” I asked, suddenly recognizing him. “YES. I’VE SPENT YEARS TRYING TO FIND YOU, AND NOW I’M HERE TO KEEP MY PROMISE,” he said, handing me a folder. When I opened it, my jaw dropped ⬇️Story continues in the first comment
