Sweet Toddler Hugs Pizza Delivery Man Not Knowing He’d Just Lost His Own Child

There are few things as magical as the sweet innocence of a child. And the story I’m going to share with you today is a perfect example of that. Rhode Island mom Lindsey Sheely decided to order a pizza one Saturday night. After exchanging the pizza, delivery driver Ryan Catterson said goodbye and started to head for the front porch stairs.

Lindsey’s doorbell camera was able to capture her two-year-old son, Cohen, chasing after him to give him a hug. After embracing, Ryan called out, “Enjoy your pizza!” while Cohen blew him a kiss. Seriously, how cute is that? Check out the sweet moment in the clip below:

After posting the sweet moment on Facebook, the video eventually made its way to Ryan. This is when Lindsey learned that the week before, Ryan had suddenly lost his 16-year-old daughter. “After losing my daughter this past week, it touched me because it was like she was there. It really just meant a lot to me,” said Ryan.

“I believe in divine appointments and know that Ryan was the one to deliver our pizza for a reason,” said Lindsey. This story just goes to show that you never know what other people might be going through, and even the smallest act of kindness can mean the world to them.
