U.S. Second Lady Usha Vance will visit Greenland this week amid President Donald Trumpâs renewed interest in the mineral-rich territory. She departs Thursday and returns Saturday, accompanied by one of her children.
The trip includes cultural stops and attendance at Greenlandâs national dogsled race, the Avannaata Qimussersu, featuring 440 sled dogs and 37 mushers. Vanceâs office calls it a âremarkable display of speed, skill, and teamwork.â The delegation aims to celebrate Greenlandic unity and traditions while witnessing the race up close.
