One Sunday morning, a married couple is getting ready to go to church…

They’d barely completed breakfast when the woman noticed

her husband wasn’t dressed for church. She is astonished and inquires, “Why aren’t you dressed for church?”

The spouse just responds, “Because I’m not going.”

The wife, intrigued by his abrupt choice, wonders, “Why not?”

The spouse then provides three reasons. First, he states, “The church is too cold in the morning.”

Second, he says, “I feel unwelcome there because people gossip about me.” Third, he says, “I just don’t feel like going.”

The wife, not convinced by his arguments, decides to give him three reasons why he should attend church. She begins with, “First, the church is warm inside.”

Next, she responds, “Second, there are people who like you.” Finally, she provides the most significant reason: “And third, you’re the minister.”
