Donald Trump sworn in as the 47th president of the United States of America, and his beloved wife, Melania Trump, stood beside him, wearing an outfit that people say felt familiar.
The former model opted for a custom double-breasted navy coat by Adam Lippes that she paired with a matching boater hat by Eric Javits, designed especially for the occasion.
Melaniaâs bold outfit made many question if she was trying to send a message -that sheâs not someone you can mess with- on the historic day when her husband sworn in as a president for the second time.
âMakes her look hard. But maybe thatâs what she wants to look like today, all business. Donât mess with me kind of thing,â one person commented.

As always, Melaniaâs choice of outfit caused quite a stir. While some loved it, others mocked it, but one thing is certain, all eyes were on her at St. Johnâs Episcopal Church in Lafayette Square, Washington D.C. on her husbandâs inauguration.
Sharing their thoughts on the social media, an X user wrote: âI donât like the hat. You donât wear a hat in a church. Iâm old fashioned.â
However, there were those who praised the First Ladyâs fashion statement.
âMelaniaâs hat! [fire emoji],â one wrote.

âThat hat!â exclaimed another, while a third person beamed: âLove Melaniaâs hat! Why canât we all wear hats & gloves again? So stylish.â
âMelaniaâs 1920s style Gatsby hat is smoke show,â someone else commented.
Some mentioned that he outfit looked kind of familiar, comparing it to BeyoncĂ©âs iconic âFormationâ outfit, writing that the First Lady is in âher Lemonade era,â referencing to the singerâs album name.
âOk ladies now letâs get in formation,â someone else commented, quoting one of the songâs lyrics, while a third added: âYALL HATERS CORNY WITH THAT ILLUMINATI MESS.â
âNot Melania gettin into formation,â and âOk Melania about to get in formation,â were other of the comments regarding Mrs. Trumpâs outfit.

Speaking to Fox of her role as a First Lady, Melania said, âI feel I was always me the first time as well, I just feel that people didnât accept me maybe.
âMaybe some people, they see me as just a wife of the president, but Iâm standing on my own two feet, independent. I have my own thoughts.
âI have my own yes and no. I donât always agree with what my husband is saying or doing. And thatâs OK.â
She said that her priority is to be a mom, a First Lady, and a wife. âAnd once we are in on Jan. 20, you serve the country,â she added.
