My Ex-Husband Wants Me to Take Back My Maiden Name Because His Fiancée Is Uncomfortable

We got divorced a year ago, and several months later, my ex-husband found a girlfriend. We had a messy breakup and completely cut off contact with each other.

Recently, he reached out to me out of the blue, saying, “I’m getting married soon, and I want you to take back your maiden name because my fiancée is uncomfortable.”

I asked him why it was a problem, and he said she didn’t want me to have the same last name.

She knows I was his ex-wife, and she thinks I still “belong” to him.

It’s too much paperwork, and I don’t have the time for that.

I refused and blocked him. What I didn’t expect was to see his fiancée in front of my house. She looked at me with disgust and said I was still in love with him otherwise, I would have changed my last name already.
