Lindsay Lohan welcomes first child at age 37 with husband Bader Shammas

In March this year, Lindsay Lohan uploaded a picture of a onesie which read “coming soon” in order to announce her pregnancy to the world. “We are blessed and excited,” she said on her Instagram at the time.

Fellow celebrities and fans alike gushed over the sweet news. Her Mean Girls co-star Amanda Seyfried called it “wonderful news” in the comment section of her pregnancy announcement.

Paris Hilton, who is a longtime friend of Lohan, also commented, “Congratulations love! So happy for you. Welcome to the Mommy Club!”

The pregnancy was not a surprise to anyone who has been keeping up with Lohan. The actress said in a November 2022 interview, “I want to have kids,” and how she had “talked” to her husband about whether they will continue living in Dubai when they become parents.

“It’s so safe there, and the schools are great. It’s so detached from everything that I’m used to. … It’s nice to have a separate world that’s my own.”

Lohan first made her relationship with Shammas public in February 2020. In November 2021, Shammas, a financier in Dubai, proposed to the actress and she accepted. She announced their engagement to the world with sweet selfies showcasing her gorgeous ring.

“My love. My life. My family. My future. @bader.shammas #love,” she wrote in her post.

The couple got married quietly in April 2022, and the actress waited until July of the same year to reveal that they had gotten married.

Lindsay Lohan had been previously engaged to real estate mogul Egor Terabasovin in 2016.

But now, the new mother has given birth to her son with Shammas. A representative for Lohan confirmed she gave birth to a baby boy and the couple has named him Luai. The name means “shield” or “protector” in Arabic.

“The family is over the moon in love,” her representative said in a statement released on Monday. The baby was born in Dubai where the couple is currently living, and his exact date of birth is not known.
