Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos Bid Farewell to Live Studio After Over 35 Years

A Bittersweet Farewell: ‘Live with Kelly and Mark’ Says Goodbye to Its Iconic Studio

After 37 years at 7 Lincoln Square, Live with Kelly and Mark has recorded its final episode in the Upper West Side

studio that’s been its home since the Regis and Kathie Lee era. The episode, taped April 1, marked the end

of an era as the show prepares to relocate downtown to the new Robert A. Iger Building at 7 Hudson Square.

Kelly Ripa, who joined the show in 2001, reflected on the sentimental value of the old studio. “Our kids grew up here,”

said her husband and co-host, Mark Consuelos. “They were always backstage, even as babies.” Ripa added that the show

allowed her to balance being a full-time mom and a full-time professional, a rare privilege she doesn’t take for granted.

The studio holds deep personal meaning for the couple. In 1996, shortly after a breakup, both were unexpectedly booked

as guests on Live, which led to a surprise reunion and an impromptu Vegas wedding proposal the next day.

Now, as Live joins other ABC shows at Disney’s new NYC headquarters, the memories of 7 Lincoln Square

remain etched in the hearts of its hosts—and its viewers.
