I’m a Homewrecker and Got Pregnant, Now His Wife Wants to Meet With a Bizarre Proposal

Rebecca, 30, recently shared an emotional story with us. She intentionally engaged with a married guy with two children, resulting in the dissolution of his family. Now that she was pregnant, she believed it was time for him to end his marriage and make their relationship official. But instead of a proposal or a fresh start, Rebecca received a strange and unsettling phone call from his wife. Her life became an uncomfortable and unexpected quandary after that.

Here’s Rebecca’s story.

I never envisaged becoming a married man’s mistress. I was reared with high moral standards, and the fact that I played a role in breaking up a family weighs heavily on me. But whatever is done is done. Jack was not divorced when we met, and since then, everything in my life has altered. I’m not sure what to do now. I just really need assistance.

My new coworker, Jack, was married with two children when we met, but our chemistry was apparent. On our second date, he informed me he loved me and was going to leave his wife of 20 years. He described her as unattractive, uneducated, and selfish, and claimed he could no longer stand her.

Now I am four months pregnant with his child. Last night, everything changed.

Kate, Jack’s wife, called me. To my surprise, she knew everything about me, including my name, age, where I lived, and the fact that I was expecting her husband’s child. Instead of being angry, Kate spoke calmly and composedly.

She did not blame me. She introduced herself respectfully and stated that she had something to say that she felt I’d be interested in hearing. She requested me to meet her in a neighboring café. I agreed.

Now I truly regret not phoning Jack first and encouraging him to finally settle things with her. Instead, I decided to meet Kate. That decision changed everything.

Kate asked that I not inform Jack about our encounter. She stated that he would most certainly try to stop me, but she insisted on saying something essential and worth hearing.

So I lied to Jack and told him I had plans with a friend in the city. It was difficult to remain cool and appear normal, but I succeeded.

When I arrived at the café, I recognized Kate right away, despite the fact that we had never met. She was not at all like the picture Jack had painted. She was attractive, poised, and confident.

But what really threw me off guard was that she hadn’t arrived alone. Her two children, Lily (15) and Randall (10), sat beside her. They greeted me casually, as if I were a longtime friend of their mother, rather than their father’s pregnant mistress. Kate then presented me with a dreamlike calm: ‘This is Rebecca, your dad’s mistress.’ The youngsters didn’t even flinch. It was surreal.

Kate did not waste time. She looked at me and said, “Okay, Rebecca, let me get right to the point.”

I have known about Jack’s affairs for a long time. I learnt to deal with them as long as no children were present. But your situation alters everything. That is why I asked to meet. I’ve got a proposal for you. Don’t respond immediately away. Please hear me out.

Then, before Kate could respond, her daughter dropped a bombshell. To my surprise, she mentioned that they wished to meet their brothers. I wasn’t sure what to say. Kate went on to add that she had divorced Jack five months earlier, something he never told me. She stated that because I am expecting his child, she wants her children to know their sibling, and my baby to grow up knowing them as well. I was stunned. It sounded quite odd.

Initially, I couldn’t believe she was serious.

If I were in her circumstances, and my spouse had a child with another woman, I doubt I could be that nice. And given that her children are teenagers, I doubt they would want anything to do with the child of their father’s affair. The entire event felt strange.

But then something unexpected occurred. Lily, Kevin’s 15-year-old daughter, spoke out. She stated that she already adored her unborn sibling and was excited to spoil the baby and be the best big sister from the start. Randall, her 10-year-old brother, agreed, apparently pleased at the prospect of having a younger sister. I could sense honesty in their eyes.

I left with a rush of emotions.

I haven’t told Jack about this yet, and I’m not sure how to go. I had no idea he was divorced, and now his ex-wife and children are excited to welcome my kid into their life.

I’m confused, overwhelmed, and torn. What should I do?
