Dyshidrotic eczema, also known as pompholyx, is a chronic skin condition marked by small, itchy blisters, primarily on the palms, fingers, and soles. It often appears
symmetrically and resolves with scaling after a few weeks. Though not curable, it is manageable. Eczema, a group of inflammatory skin conditions, affects an estimated 35 million
people in the U.S., with about 70% of cases occurring in children under five. Common triggers include allergic reactions and genetic factors, though eczema is not contagious.
Dyshidrotic eczema is also referred to as vesicular hand dermatitis, acute palmoplantar eczema, and other names depending on the affected area
