FDA Recalls Instant Coffee Brand Sold in 48 States — What You Need to Know

☕ FDA Recalls Clover Valley® Instant Coffee Over Glass Risk

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has announced a voluntary recall of Clover Valley® instant coffee sold exclusively at

Dollar General stores across 48 states. The recall follows a customer report of possible glass fragments in the product.

While no injuries have been reported, consuming the affected coffee could pose serious health risks, including cuts to the mouth or throat.

The recall applies to 8-ounce containers with lot numbers L-5163, L-5164, and L-5165, and best-by dates of 12/13/2026 or 12/14/2026. Customers should stop using

the product immediately and return it to any Dollar General location for a full refund. Additional details are available on the store’s official website.

Dollar General operates over 20,500 stores nationwide, meaning the recall affects a large customer base.

The company is working closely with the FDA and emphasizes that customer safety remains a top priority.

This incident comes amid other recent FDA coffee-related recalls, including those involving mislabeling and caffeine risks,

underscoring the need for consumers to regularly check recall notices and read product labels carefully.

Anyone who may have consumed the contaminated coffee and is experiencing symptoms should seek medical attention immediately.
