FBI Investigation into Charlie Kirk Case Continues
The FBI is pressing forward with its investigation following the arrest of 22-year-old Tyler Robinson in connection
with the death of Charlie Kirk. Robinson lived in Saint George, Utah, with his partner, Lance Twiggs,
who is cooperating fully and faces no allegations. Court records reveal Twiggs provided text messages in which Robinson
discussed plans tied to the incident, enabling investigators to track him down. Devices seized from
their apartment are being reviewed at the FBI lab in Quantico.
Robinson’s grandmother maintains his innocence, describing him as quiet and uninterested in weapons,
suggesting a case of mistaken identity. He is being held without bail, with formal charges still pending.
Authorities confirmed that a recovered item connected to the case is undergoing forensic analysis.
Governor Spencer Cox disclosed that engravings found on related evidence referenced video games and
internet memes, which experts say may reflect cultural ties rather than intent.
Robinson was identified after his father recognized him in FBI photos. Concerned for his safety,
the father sought help from a family pastor, who alerted law enforcement. Robinson was detained
Thursday night. Prosecutors have not yet confirmed whether they will seek the harshest penalties.
