The ground is shaking beneath the Trump family’s feet. On September 26, a New York judge ruled that the former president committed fraud by repeatedly misrepresenting his wealth by hundreds of millions of dollars, which will most likely affect his children as well. That includes his youngest son, Barron Trump, who is believed to be following in his father’s footsteps.
Following the 2022 election, when the Trump family left the White House after losing to Joe Biden, they settled at their Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida. Barron started a new school, and until a few weeks ago, it had been relatively quiet about him.
However, the young boy has now received death threats. Donald Trump has decided to speak out on what Barron’s life is like.
Even though Barron Trump, 17, is the youngest son of a real estate mogul and former President of the United States, his life has been kept very private. Though, it didn’t take long after his birth before the media received news about his arrival – from his father no less.
Barron Trump
Barron Trump was born in New York City on March 20, 2006. Much of his childhood was spent growing up in Trump Tower in Manhattan, where he was said to have had an entire floor to himself. It was fully equipped with a kitchen, a living room, and even housing for the maids.
As mentioned, Barron has not been seen too many times in public as he’s grown up. His mother, Melania Trump, protected him from the media while in the White House, and no information about how he’s doing in school has leaked.
“Everyone’s perfect,” Donald Trump, who was 59 at the time, told Imus.
“I continue to stay young, right? I produce children, I stay young,”
The same day, Trump, now 77, called Live with Regis and Kelly. Two days earlier, Regis and his wife, Joy, had visited Trump at his Mar-a-Lago estate. They didn’t know at the time, but Trump left quite soon afterwards to reunite with Melania in New York and to be there for the birth of Barron.
“When I left you, I had no news of this at all,” Trump said, adding that Barron was over a week early.
Many years later, a lot of Barron’s life is still a mystery. Donald, Melania, and Barron moved to Mar-a-Lago after they departed from the White House. Not long after this, it was announced what the president’s youngest son would do moving forward, as a spokesperson for the private school Oxbridge Academy confirmed that Barron Trump had enrolled there. He is part of the class of 2024.
According to its website, the tuition to attend Oxbridge’s private school for 2023-2024 is $38,500. That includes breakfast, lunch, snacks, textbooks, learning support services, and college counseling services.
Barron Trump – tallest of them all
Barron is currently in his third year of high school school. Last fall, a rumor began to spread on Facebook that Barron had been expelled. As reported by Politifact, a post ran with the title “Barron Trump has been kicked out of school for fees.” It subsequently detailed how the youngest Trump had been kicked out of the school because his family could not pay the tuition.
It turned out to be untrue.
Barron Trump has made the news – and has left social media crazy – as he’s growing into an exceptionally tall young man. Pictures of him stepping out in public in New York City with his mother, Melania, spread across the internet. It was the same reaction when he was spotted at Mar-a-Lago. Even Donald Trump seems to be impressed.
“Barron is 6-foot-7, can you believe it? And he’s 15,” Trump said in 2021. “Eric is short — he’s only 6-foot-6.”
As of today, not much is known about Barron Trump’s progress in school or how he is living his life at the Mar-a-Lago resort. However, one thing for sure is that his family remains in the spotlight – not least due to his father’s trouble with the law.
In March, Donald Trump was indicted by a New York court. After that, three more indictments against him have followed.
Through it all, Melania Trump has decided to stay quiet and has not been on the campaign trail or in the courtroom with her husband.
The former First Lady decided to stay quiet as Trump’s mugshot went viral after he was booed and fingerprinted at a Georgia jailhouse for charges of election fraud.
That, according to a People Magazine source, has to do with not only herself but also Barron Trump.
“Melania is good at taking care of business at hand, which includes her own life, the life of her son, and the lives of her close family members,” the source told People Magazine.
Barron Trump received death threats
“She would not stand in a circle of people she knows and openly comment on the lawsuits or the mug shot. She will have her way of dealing with this and anything else publicly when she feels like it,” the source added. “Remember, Melania is a mom with a not-yet-adult son to protect. A mug shot that everyone is talking about is just one more issue to wade through.”
Melania Trump was last seen some weeks ago when she was in New York. However, there is one major, horrifying reason she most likely is keeping herself out of sight.
In the middle of August, a Chicago woman was arrested over alleged threats to kill Donald Trump and Barron. The social studies teacher was arrested on a charge of transmitting threats to kill or injure the former president and his son.
It came just months after she had traveled to Florida to allegedly stalk Barron. The woman had been questioned by police in Palm Beach outside the Oxbridge Academy in March, the Chicago Tribune reported.
The Guardian reported that the death threat was sent in an email to the unidentified head of an educational institution in Palm Beach County, southern Florida, where Mar-a-Lago is located.
“I will state that I will shoot Donald Trump Sr AND Barron Trump straight in the face at any opportunity I get!” the woman wrote in an email in May.
As per CBS, a senior law enforcement official said the woman had been “on the U.S. Secret Service’s radar for several years.” Recently, the “nature of her threats escalated to become more specific.”
“Her family has expressed concern to law enforcement about her potential for violence,” a senior law enforcement official said. “She has struggled chronically with her mental health and recently reported stopping taking her prescribed medication.”
Donald Trump shares plans for Barron’s future
The woman’s court-appointed attorney said, “She would never actually get close to Barron Trump because she’s afraid of him.”
The attorney added, “This is all a little wacky, but it doesn’t say that she’s a danger.”
Barron Trump’s time at Oxbridge is soon coming to an end. As a Trump family member, he will undoubtedly begin studying at college afterward, and according to the New York Times, Melania and Donald are already looking at colleges in New York. Donald Trump later confirmed that as he spoke with author Megyn Kelly.
In the September 15 interview, Donald Trump revealed new details about Barron Trump’s future and gave some insight into Melania’s life.
“She’s doing very well. She’s very strong, very, very even-keeled. And she’s a very good woman,” Donald said about Melania, adding that things are going very well between them.
Earlier this year, as Melania didn’t appear to support her husband, some reports suggested that things might have begun to unravel between them. But that, according to Donald, is not the case at all.
“She’s a very calm person. It’s very interesting, and I think that’s what people like about her. Our dinners are nice dinners, our dinners are like people’s dinners… we actually get along very well,” he explained.
Donald Trump added that he and Melania are “looking into” the possibility of Barron attending the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
“He’s a good kid, he’s a good-looking kid. He’s a great student, very good student,” the former president added.
It might be a familiar school for those who know their Trump history. In fact, Donald and his children, Donald Trump Jr., Ivanka Trump, and Tiffany Trump have all graduated from the University of Pennsylvania.
“The toughest place to get into”
Donald Trump Jr. and Ivanka Trump both graduated from the Wharton School. Tiffany Trump graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree, while Donald’s third son, Eric Trump, instead chose to go to Georgetown University.
“I went to the Wharton School of Finance, the toughest place to get into. I was a great student,” Donald Trump has previously said, per AP News.
While it surely will be an excellent step for Barron Trump, his father has a rather complicated relationship with the Wharton School. As most of us know, Donald has his surname emblazoned across all his buildings, including hotels and skyscrapers. At Wharton, however, no building bears his name.
AP reported that school officials don’t like talking about the former president, so much so that a former pro-Trump student group previously had to be shut down. Moreover, while the bookstore at the University of Pennsylvania has a significant number of books written by their alums, there is only one copy of Trump’s 1987 book The Art of the Deal.
“Perhaps the most important thing I learned at Wharton was not to be overly impressed by academic credentials… That degree doesn’t prove very much,” he wrote in The Art of the Deal.
Barron is entirely focused on school and forming his future. However, his father has now, once again, put the Trump family in the spotlight.
On Wednesday, Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Arthur Engoron found that Donald Trump, his family, his businesses, and the entire Trump Organization had committed fraud by overvaluing his wealth on business documents for years. This was to get better bank deals, which New York Attorney General Letitia James first claimed in her lawsuit.
The ruling from Supreme Court Justice Arthur Engoron, consisting of 35 pages, Engoron sided with Letitia James, who alleged that Trump made several undeniably false statements to get favorable loans.
With the ruling, Engoron revoked the Trump Organization’s New York “business certificates” and any other business based in New York City run by Trump or his family.
Will Barron Trump follow in his father’s footsteps?
The judge’s ruling means Donald Trump could be stripped of the control over some of his Trump properties. That includes his beloved Trump Tower in Midtown Manhattan, where Barron grew up.
Donald Trump plans to appeal the decision, his attorneys said. On his social media platform, Truth Social, the former president expressed his rage after the ruling was made public, calling it a “witch hunt.”
“The widespread attack against me, my family, and my supporters has devolved to new, un-American depths, at the hands of a DERANGED New York State Judge, doing the bidding of a completely biased and corrupt “Prosecutor,” Letitia James,” Donald Trump shouted on his Truth Social platform.
“Nothing like this has ever happened in our Country before. My Civil Rights have been violated, and some Appellate Court, whether Federal or State, must reverse this horrible, un-American decision. If they can do this to me, they can do this to YOU!” Trump added.
We don’t know how this will affect Barron Trump’s life. However, it seems like he might be having trouble following in his brother’s footsteps and taking his fair share of the Trump empire.
