Do you have two holes in your lower back? Then see what it means

Venus dimples, also known as “dimples of Venus,” are small indentations found on the

lower back, just above the buttocks. These dimples form due to a ligament that connects

the skin to the posterior superior iliac spine, creating a slight depression in the area.

They are often associated with beauty and attractiveness, as they are named after Venus,

the Roman goddess of love. Some people naturally have these dimples due to genetics, while

others may develop them through fitness and maintaining a low body fat percentage. In men,

these indentations are called “Apollo holes” and are seen as a sign of good circulation, muscle definition, and overall health.

Beyond aesthetics, Venus dimples are believed to have certain health benefits. They are often

linked to enhanced blood flow in the pelvic region, which may contribute to increased sexual

pleasure and easier orgasms. Some studies suggest that their prominence can indicate a healthy

weight and active lifestyle. While they cannot be artificially created, they tend to be more

visible in individuals who are physically fit. Whether referred to as Venus or Apollo dimples,

these natural features are considered attractive and are often admired as a sign of vitality and well-being.
