Bradley Cooper harshly mocked for being a “Mama’s boy” after bringing 83-year-old mom to the Oscars

With all the glitz and glam associated with the Oscars, it’s hardly surprising that it takes a few days post-ceremony to properly digest all that went on.

Major talking points like the success of Oppenheimer – and all those involved in its production – John Cena’s naked walk across the stage, and Al Pacino deciding to skip the nominations for Best Picture in favor of just announcing the winner directly, took very little time to make their way to the headlines of news outlets the world over.

Yet there was one highlight involving actor Bradley Cooper that seemingly flew under the radar entirely. Fortunately it’s getting the online traction it deserves now, and we think you’ll agree that it makes for truly heartwarming reading, irrespective of the usual small collective of naysayers who have crawled out the woodwork.

If you count yourself a Cooper fan, you’ll likely be well versed in the recent rumors that he’s now dating Gigi Hadid. Last week a source shared: “Bradley and Gigi are both genuinely so happy. They’re having a great time together, doing well as a couple, and co-parenting healthily on both sides.”

Yet it was also made clear last week that Hadid wouldn’t be attending the 96th Academy Awards on Cooper’s arm, but rather staying at home with her daughter.

In her place another lady walked the red carpet by Cooper’s side, and it was none other than his 83-year-old mother, Gloria Campano.

Cooper, who was nominated for Best Actor for his performance in the critically-acclaimed Maestro, donned a double-breasted black suit from Louis Vuitton, but it was adorable mother who turned heads at the Dolby Theater.

No sooner had pictures of the mother-son duo made their made to social media than did people express their delight.

“This is cute. He looks like his mom too,” one fan wrote.

“Anyone that brings their mom to an awards show is a winner in my book,” another added.

As is so often the case, however, there were also detractors who tried to claim that Cooper’s decision to take his mother with him to the Oscars was anything other than a sweet, commendable gesture.

Incredibly, there were even those who labeled it “creepy”.

“Again?? Cmon, it’s getting kinda creepy,” one person wrote on People’s Instagram post of Cooper and his mom.

“Again? Getting kinda weird now,” another chimed.

“Good grief, can’t he get another date?…Mama’s boy” a third added.

Now, it should go without saying that we see absolutely nothing wrong with a celebrity choosing to take their mother to arguably the world’s most prestigious awards ceremony. If I was in Cooper’s shoes, my mother might be the first person I would ask to join me!

As per reports, Cooper and Campano share a special bond, perhaps best reflected in the fact that she recently moved into her son’s LA home.

“I love having my mother living with me. I wouldn’t have it any other way,” Cooper shared at the time. The actor reportedly often invites his mother to accompany him on some of his travels as well.

A YEAR AFTER MY SON’S D3ATH, I SAW MY DAUGHTER-IN-LAW’S GRAVE AT THE CEMETERY. “Ma’am… we’ve arrived,” the cabbie said as he pulled over at the cemetery gate, jolting me out of my thoughts. I stepped out of the cab, my gaze fixed on the cemetery gate, and turned to the driver. “Please wait for me here… I won’t be long.” With a deep, painful sigh, I entered the graveyard, the flowers trembling in my hand. The silence of the cemetery was haunting as I carefully made my way across the row of graves, searching for Christopher’s resting place. A wave of painful emotions washed over me as I approached his grave and knelt down, gently laying the flowers on the ground. “My baby… Oh, Christopher. Mama’s here… I’ve come to see you…” I broke into tears as I gently brushed my trembling hands against Christopher’s tombstone. But then, something caught my eye—another grave, right beside Christopher’s. A surge of disbelief gripped me as I read the epitaph etched on the headstone next to his. I could not believe my eyes: “In Loving Memory of Harper. S.”👇 Full story in 1st comment 👇👇

I LEFT MY LAPTOP IN THE CAR FOR TEN MINUTES—AND LOST WAY MORE THAN THAT I parked right in front of the coffee shop. Broad daylight, busy street, people walking by nonstop. I figured, Ten minutes. I’ll be in and out. My laptop bag was on the passenger seat. I usually throw a jacket over it, but this time… I didn’t. By the time I came out, the driver-side window was shattered. Glass everywhere. On the seat, on the floor, inside the damn cup holders. I just stood there, heart pounding, holding my iced coffee like an idiot. The laptop was gone. At first, I was just mad—like furious, sweaty, curse-out-loud mad. Then it hit me: that laptop wasn’t just work. It had everything. Old journals. Personal notes. A scanned folder labeled “Taxes & Custody.” A half-written email draft to my lawyer that I hadn’t sent yet. And something else—something I shouldn’t have saved, but did. A PDF of court transcripts. From a case I wasn’t even supposed to have access to. The same case involving someone I thought I’d left behind years ago. I looked around, hoping maybe someone had seen something. But the people nearby just kept walking. A few glanced over, but no one stopped. Then a woman in scrubs passed by, did a double take, and froze. “You drive a white Kia?” she asked slowly. I nodded. Her face changed. “I think… I saw the guy who took it.” Before I could ask anything else, she added— (Story continues in the first 🗨️👇)
