Time flies—Julia Roberts’ daughter now looks remarkably like her mother did when she was younger

Julia Roberts: The Star Who Stepped Away from the Spotlight

When you think of iconic actresses, Julia Roberts is likely one of the first to come to mind. She’s starred in some of Hollywood’s biggest hits over the last 30 years. And yet, unlike many modern celebrities, she’s largely disappeared from the public eye.

No Social Media? No Problem

In a world where stars document their lives on Instagram and TikTok, Julia Roberts stands apart.
She does have a Twitter account—with over 540,000 followers—but she’s never tweeted. On Facebook? She’s nowhere to be found.
Her Instagram exists, but she posts rarely, and when she does, her family remains largely absent.

Roberts once said:

“I got lucky. I’m too old for that silly mess that goes on with celebrity culture and the Internet.”

Clearly, she prefers privacy over popularity.

Life Beyond the Cameras

What changed Julia’s life? Motherhood and marriage.
When she met cameraman Daniel Moder on the set of The Mexican in 2000, things fell into place. They tied the knot in 2002 and welcomed twins Hazel and Phinnaeus in 2004. In 2007, their son Henry was born.

Julia admits she was once a “selfish little brat making films.” But finding love and raising a family transformed her.

“Everything has come from meeting Danny,” she told Harper’s Bazaar.

A Strong, Lasting Marriage

Julia and Danny have now been married for over 20 years.
They’ve even worked on several films together—an experience that has only deepened their bond.
In 2021, she posted a rare anniversary photo, writing:

“19 years. Just getting started!”

Raising Kids Away from the Spotlight

Julia always prioritized keeping her kids out of the public eye.
She and Danny made a bold move: they left Los Angeles for San Francisco.
The goal? A quieter, more grounded life for their children.

“Her kids are not movie star kids in San Francisco,” a friend told Closer Weekly.
“No one cares who your mom is.”

Still, parenting hasn’t always been easy. In one interview, she joked:

“I tried to carry somebody up to bed… and just couldn’t. I had to make them walk up half-asleep!”

Hazel Moder: Following in Her Mother’s Footsteps?

Among Julia’s kids, daughter Hazel has drawn the most attention recently—and for good reason.
Fans can’t help but notice: she looks just like her mom did back in the day.

Though Hazel prefers privacy too, a few glimpses into her life have gone public.
At just 12 years old, she chopped off her long blonde hair and donated it to Wigs for Kids.

“She’s so brave,” Julia said. “She sees it as something bigger than herself.”

Then in 2021, Hazel made a splash on the red carpet at Cannes Film Festival, joining her dad for the premiere of Flag Day. She wore a vintage-inspired yellow lace dress and turned heads everywhere.

Still Hollywood’s Sweetheart

Though Julia Roberts keeps her distance from fame today, she hasn’t lost her sparkle.
She may not post daily updates or chase the limelight, but her impact—on screen and off—still resonates.

If you’ve ever loved a Julia Roberts film, don’t forget to share this article and leave a comment on Facebook.
And tell us—does Hazel look like her mom?
