People seriously divided after Donald Trump called ‘daddy’ by NATO chief during conference

We never expected to hear the word ‘daddy’ from the head of NATO, especially when referring to the President of the United States.

To everyone’s amazement, Secretary General Mark Rutte attempted to excuse Donald Trump’s tirade about Iran and Israel yesterday (June 24).

Speaking to reporters before leaving for the NATO summit in The Hague, the Netherlands, he stated, “We basically have two countries that have been fighting so long and so hard, that they don’t know what the f**k they’re doing.”

The video, obviously, polarized opinion since some were stunned to hear a world leader swear.

In a footage shared by ITV News, NATO chief Rutte oddly referred to Trump as ‘daddy’ while the president compared Israel and Iran to ‘kids in a schoolyard,’ clearly defending his actions. Take a peek.

The Republican leader stated, “They fi:ght like two kids in a schoolyard, you know, they fight like hell; you can’t stop them.” Allow them to battle for two or three minutes before attempting to stop them.

Rutte laughed and added, “Daddy has to use strong language on occasion.”

Trump concurred, saying, “Strong language, every now and then you have to use a specific word.”

As the video circulates on the internet, people are unsure what to make of the strange nickname – some find it humorous, while others find it ’embarrassing’.

One Twitter user said, “A new level of cringe: Rutte calls Trump Daddy.”A different individual concurred and wrote: “Europe’s humiliation reaches new depths: As if yesterday’s cringey texts weren’t enough, Mark Rutte just called Trump ‘Daddy.’…”

Others found the parallel hilarious and saw no problem with it, writing

“Come on, it was a well-placed joke” and “Oh God!!!! I love this so much.”

Another person said, “Either he was trolling or there was a slip. “Who cares as long as Trump liked it?”

On Tuesday (24 June), the President shared a screenshot of the lengthy and gushing message, which has subsequently been proved to be authentic, on Truth Social.

The text in question says, “Mr. President, dear Donald. Congratulations and thank you for your decisive action in Iran; it was truly unique and something no one else dared to attempt. It makes everyone safer.

“This evening, you’re flying toward another tremendous success in The Hague. It wasn’t easy, but we got them all signed up for 5 percent!”

He went on to say, “Donald, you have brought us to a watershed moment for America, Europe, and the entire world. You will accomplish something that no other American president has done in decades.
