Fourteen-year-old Mia wakes up from a coma with no memory of her past. She is greeted by a woman named Laura, who claims to be her mother. Although Mia doesn’t recognize her, Laura
insists on taking her home, hoping that familiar surroundings will help restore Mia’s lost memories. At first, Mia tries to trust Laura, but something feels wrong especially when Laura avoids
hospital staff and rushes them out through a hidden side exit, raising Mia’s suspicions.
Laura takes Mia to a secluded, somewhat eerie house and shows her a room filled with baby toys and framed photos none of which Mia recalls. Days pass, and during a trip to the supermarket,
Mia’s eyes catch her own face on a milk carton labeled “MISSING.” She quickly memorizes the contact number printed beneath the photo before Laura notices.
