Beloved Food Network Star Anne Burrell Passes Away at 55

Renowned Food Network chef Anne Burrell has passed away at the age of 55. She was found unresponsive in her Brooklyn home on June 17,

2025, and despite emergency efforts, was pronounced dead at the scene. An autopsy is underway to confirm the cause of death.

Known for her trademark spiky blond hair and vibrant personality, Burrell leaves behind a lasting legacy in the culinary world.

Burrell is survived by her husband, Stuart Claxton, his son Javier, her mother Marlene, siblings Jane and Ben, and her children Isabella,

Amelia, and Nicolas. In a statement, her family described her as a “radiant light” whose passion and kindness touched

many lives. Her warmth, generosity, and infectious energy will be remembered by her loved ones and countless fans.

Just days before her passing, Burrell had shared an upbeat Instagram post and spoke in an interview about her love for cooking

and encouraging others to find joy in the kitchen. Her work on Worst Cooks in America helped countless novice chefs

gain confidence, making her a beloved figure both on and off screen.

A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, Burrell became a household name through shows like Secrets of a Restaurant Chef,

Chef Wanted, and Iron Chef America. Beyond her professional success, she found happiness in her personal life,

marrying Claxton in 2021 after meeting in 2018. Her legacy is one of culinary brilliance, warmth, and inspiration.
