11 Injured, 1 Dead After Shooting at North Carolina House Party

A tragic shooting at a house party in Mountain View, a peaceful area near Hickory, North Carolina, left one person dead and eleven others

injured early Sunday morning, June 1. Authorities responded to the scene on Walnut Acres Drive around 12:45 a.m., according to the

Catawba County Sheriff’s Office.Roughly 100 people, including children, were attending a pool party when multiple shots were fired.

The shooting occurred outside and involved both the front and back yards of the residence. The scene extended to a nearby yard, making

it a large and active investigation area.One person died, another is in critical condition, and several others remain hospitalized.

Officials have confirmed that multiple firearms were used, but no suspects have been identified yet, and no arrests have been made.

The investigation is ongoing, with support from the State Bureau of Investigation and local law enforcement. Anyone with information
