Rapist Collapses After Learning What He May Have Contracted From His Victim

A British man, Richard Thomas, 27, was sentenced to over five years in prison for raping a sleeping woman in 2013. He was recently informed he might have contracted HIV from the victim.

Thomas, who had been drinking and using drugs that night, admitted he couldn’t remember the assault but believed the woman’s account.

He entered her home uninvited and assaulted her while she was under the influence of a sleeping pill. The judge sentenced him to five years and four months and placed him on th S]x Offenders Register. Thomas has a history of substance abuse and expressed remorse for his actions.
