Dolly Parton says she will no longer be touring so she could spend time at home with her husband

Dolly Parton is more than just a stunning blonde who has captivated millions with her beauty. She is a powerful woman with a fantastic personality, a great sense of humor, and a huge heart. Dolly has always been honest about her life, and that’s one reason her career has lasted so long.

This famous country music star, known for her songwriting, business skills, and helping others, has just shared that she will stop touring. However, she will still keep making new music. This news made a lot of her fans sad because they were excited for more amazing concerts.

The singer talked about her choice to stop touring during an interview with Pollystar. She said, “I’ll do some special performances occasionally, like a long weekend of shows or a few at a festival. But I don’t plan on doing a big tour anymore.”

She preferred to concentrate on creating music and enjoying time with her husband. Dolly and her husband, Carl Thomas Dean, have been married for more than 50 years, but not much is known about him since he likes to stay out of the public eye. In her book, the singer shared some thoughts about him, calling him a very romantic guy. She even remembered a funny moment when she visited him at the army base in Georgia long ago; he hugged her so tightly that her wig came off! “He squeezed, hugged, and kissed me so hard that my wig flew off.”

They first crossed paths in 1964 right outside the Wishy Washy Laundromat in Nashville, Tennessee. Dolly was just 18 years old, while Carl was a bit older at 21.

Dean shared his feelings about seeing Dolly for the first time, saying, “I immediately thought, ‘I want to marry that girl,’” according to Entertainment Tonight.

My next thought was, “Wow, she’s really pretty.” That was the moment my life started. I wouldn’t give up the last 50 years for anything in the world.

When Dolly got married, she was just beginning her career, and her record label thought she should wait to tie the knot. However, she didn’t listen to them. Dolly and Dean had a small wedding in Ringgold, Georgia, so the local newspapers in Tennessee wouldn’t cover their big day.

It was the start of a love story that never ended.

Dolly now spoke of her desire to spend most of her time by her husband’s side in the comfort of their home and how she feels about touring.

I’ve spent my entire life doing that, and it really uses up a lot of my time and energy. Now, I prefer to stay closer to home with my husband. Since we’re getting older, I don’t want to be away for four or five weeks straight. Anything could happen while I’m gone. It wouldn’t sit well with me if I was away and someone needed my help. Plus, I would feel terrible if I had to leave a tour because someone at home got sick and I had to let down my fans.

Currently, Dolly is working on her album and is reportedly in the works to create a Christmas special for NBC this year.

This is like a show inside another show. What we’re focusing on is the drama that happens behind the scenes. It reveals everything that goes into making a show, like the fights with the producers, issues with the performers, and even things like props falling over. There are also moments when people have to cancel and change plans super fast. I wouldn’t really call it acting because I’m just being myself. I’m completely Dolly, not pretending to be someone else.

She is collaborating with Reese Witherspoon on the new movie called Run, Rose, Run.

We are thankful to Dolly Parton for all the music she created and performed over the years.

“MY NEIGHBORS F0RCED ME TO HIDE MY ‘UGLY’ CAR – THEN THEY BEGGED ME TO REMOVE THE FENCE” That weathered 1967 Chevy Impala in my front yard wasn’t just a car – it was the last gift from my father, a master mechanic who spent his final years teaching me how to bring this classic back to life. Sure, its faded paint and dusty windows might not fit the suburban aesthetic, but every scratch told our story. The complaints started almost immediately after I parked it on my property. Katherine from across the street led the charge, rallying the neighborhood with petitions about “property values” and “community standards.” Despite explaining my restoration plans, the city soon ordered me to either move the car (impossible without a tow) or erect a privacy fence. The six-foot wooden barrier cost me $3,200 – money I’d been saving for the Impala’s new transmission. But the neighborhood got its picture-perfect streetscape… for about three weeks. Then came the unexpected knock at my door. Katherine stood on my porch wringing her hands, flanked by other neighbors wearing identical expressions of sheepish desperation. “About the fence…” she began, avoiding my eyes. “We were wondering if you might consider… removing it?” When pressed, the truth came tumbling out: Turns out that “eyes0re” of mine had been hiding something far w0rse from view… [CONTINUE READING TO DISCOVER THE SH0CKING REASON THEY WANTED THE FENCE GONE – INCLUDING WHAT THE IMPALA WAS SECRETLY PROTECTING]

MY HUSBAND MOCKED ME, CALLING ME “FAT” IN MY NEW DRESS – I DECIDED TO TEACH HIM A LESSON HE’LL NEVER FORGET. For the past few years, I’ve been struggling with my weight. No matter what I did, those extra pounds just wouldn’t budge! The thing is, I’m a pastry chef, and you can imagine that tasting everything is part of the job. And my husband, Bryce… well, he didn’t make things any easier. Most women hope for support from their partner, but mine never missed a chance to mock me. When I put on my new dress, he said, “TAKE IT OFF! BUY YOURSELF A GYM MEMBERSHIP.” And then he called his friends and laughed, making jokes about my weight, and thinking I couldn’t hear. But the final straw was when I finally managed to drag him to an important culinary event, and he had the nerve to flirt with another woman right in front of me! When I confronted them, he simply said, “THIS IS HOW A WOMAN SHOULD LOOK IN A DRESS. GO AWAY!” He continued to laugh with her. My heart shattered into tiny pieces, but I knew I wouldn’t tolerate it any longer. I’d had enough. He would pay for all the humiliation because I had an ace up my sleeve.👇

For years, my husband made fun of my weight. I often turned to food to deal with the problems in our marriage. One day, he crossed the…
