My ex-wife left us before Mia turned one, and since then, it’s been just the two of us. Three months ago, I met Emma at a coffee shop. Her warm smile and quick wit made my stress melt away. We started dating, and Mia had already met her a couple of times. Mia was only four but had an incredible knack for reading people. When she smiled around Emma, I felt like I might’ve found someone special. Last Saturday, Emma invited us over for dinner and a movie. It was our first visit to her home.
